Today we're talking about something that trips up almost every family I coach, even the ones who feel like they've got their budget handled.
Here's the scene. Your budget is dialed in. Groceries, rent, your regular bills, all tracked and predictable. And then your car needs new brakes.
Or your kid's birthday rolls around and somehow it costs more than you remembered. Or the holidays show up in November and blow the whole month wide open.
If that has happened to you, I want you to hear something up front. That was not a budgeting failure. Those expenses were not actually surprises. They were expected. We just had not planned for them ahead of time.
That is what we are fixing today. This is Plan Ahead, Flourish Ahead: Sinking Funds 101.
